The Golden Door Resort hosted a fundraising dinner on May 28, 2015, that netted nearly $30,000 to benefit the Palomar Health's Forensic Health Services, the vital North County service for foster children, child and adult victims of abuse and sexual assault.
The Golden Door underwrote costs of the exclusive event and generous private donors contributed significant dollars to support the Forensic Services center, which operates 24 hours a day, and served 912 adults and children last year. “The Golden Door is committed to health and well-being of the mind, body and spirit, both for our guests and the world around us,” said Kathy Van Ness, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the world famous Golden Door. “We are so pleased to bring attention and much-needed funds to Palomar Forensic Health Services, which is the first step in healing for some of our North County neighbors in critical need.”
James Haven, director, writer and activist, was the Featured Speaker at the farm-to-table dinner held under the stars at the iconic property. Haven and his sister, actor and activist Angelina Jolie, are passionate advocates for children’s rights. Learn more about Golden Door's benefit dinner.
